The Duma enacts new digital rights law to spur a new era of economic development

The State Duma, Russia’s parliament, has enacted a new law aimed at kicking off a new era in the development of the digital economy. The law defines how digital rights can be exercised and transferred. It also establishes the rules for digital transactions, including contracts. Vyacheslav Volodin, the chairman of the State Duma, said the new digital rights law marks a new are of rights of the people of Russia.
